Hilton Cigarettes

Four of the top eight cigarette brands most familiar to the respondents were foreign: Marlboro, 555, Kent, and Hilton. Advertisements for the foreign brands were much more likely to be seen than those for the domestic brands.

Hilton was much more likely to be nominated by smokers than by non-smokers. The opposite is true for Ashima. One explanation for the popularity of Hilton is its price; Hilton was much less expensive than all the other brands.
